The Galleries

Christine Hannon is a special and talented artist...and a wonderful human being! She is a tireless and very creative artist and, more importantly, very easy to work with! Christine's talent converted our house into a "home" that continues to amaze us long after her work was completed. Our master bedroom puts Clive Christian to shame and our kitchen feels like we are in Tuscany!

The Siren Song

My first commission with Christine began in September, 2009. I'd wanted to celebrate a major professional accomplishment with a dramatized depiction of the event. The scope was ambitious, but Christine delivered a stunning portrait, combining landscape, fantasy, and human elements. The final result exceeded all expectations, and it's a continual source of amusement to introduce the painting to friends and family who have heard the story but have yet to see it.

Two years later, after a few smaller collaborations, I decided to pursue a long-time goal: to assemble an electric guitar. A typical custom build involves a simple DIY paint job. Lacking any semblance of fine art talent, I turned again to Christine for help. We talked about several options for the depiction, but decided upon a challenging goal: a rendering of Odysseus and the Sirens. In Homer's Odyssey, the hero sails through the waters of the mythical Sirens, enduring their song without ear protection. We didn't want a stand-alone art piece that happened to be painted on a guitar. The natural connection of a beautiful song to the guitar made for a consistent project. After Christine created the scene, I built and wired the guitar. I have only one complaint about the project: it's too beautiful to risk playing! The Siren Song has made a few public appearances nonetheless…before I return her to the protection of the case.

I met Christine about five years ago after searching for a decorative painter for a dear client. I was completely unimpressed with all of the other artists that I interviewed. Since that time, I have called on Christine for several other projects and for all of my decorative painting needs. The scope of each job has differed greatly, but the reaction to the end result is always the same.

Together we have designed a patriotic boy's bedroom, many beautiful wall finishes, sweet baby nurseries and even a beyond amazing enchanted garden themed children's section at a beloved, local bookstore.

My clients and I can not say enough wonderful things about Christine's work, her fair pricing and amazing customer service. When I present the idea of decorative painting to my clients, I always tell them "You will not be disappointed" and "It will be even better than you imagine".... She has not failed me yet!

Fort Wetherill

Fort Wetherill, overlooking Narragansett Bay, is my favorite location in Rhode Island. Christine captured this image perfectly, with her ability to create amazingly realistic images on canvas. Christine pulls you in and transports you to the scene.

A View from the Villa

As an interior designer, I've had the pleasure of working together with Christine on several projects. I'm always thrilled to collaborate together with her as she is amazingly talented, creative and a pleasure to work with. She is professional, patient, accommodating and always makes the job end with a WOW!

Everyone LOVES the mural, and can't believe that it is hand painted.

Thanks for a great mural.

Cottage Garden Mural

All the work that was done far exceeded my expectations. Chris, the artist, is the most artistic person I have ever met. She can take a dead space on a wall and make it a masterpiece. Not only are her murals breathtaking, but she does an excellent job with faux finishing. She provided me with many sample boards to choose from and took the time to travel to other locations to make sure all the colors would come together. I could not have made my new addition as beautiful as it is without her.

Dinosaur Mural

We just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much we enjoy the dinosaur mural you painted in our son's room. We are grateful that you worked with us to develop a theme that he will enjoy well beyond the toddler years.

Dinosaurs can appear ferocious and scary to a child. We are so impressed that you were able to take such a theme and artfully portray the dinosaurs with the playfulness and humor we see in our child. Our son wakes up smiling every morning, as we are sure he will for years to come.
